Celebrating EquipUs is really about giving thanks for our blessings! In the initial birthday post I promised to share some of the blessings we have received over these past five years. If you didn’t see the birthday post, please use the link above and take a look. We are celebratin!
The videos below were taken in Dolores, Belize. Our teams have been working there since 2020-21 (Covid hindered a few things!). So let’s look back and celebrate what has been. Then I will share what is about to happen in Dolores. Every party creates a little anticipation and this one is no exception.
Celebrating EquipUs – Dolores Construction
This video was taken in November 2023. Our team had been onsite in October and there was more work to do than we could accomplish in a week. Actually, that’s fairly normal. So, to verify that the work continued and to confirm good stewardship of EquipUs funds, this video was forwarded to me.
The two videos below were shot in August. What you see is work being done on the church floor. The funds we had available this past March allowed us to do pour half the floor for the church in Dolores. We also worked on the church in Bella Vista. And two construction projects means that the available resources are spread fairly thin.
We had some more funds come in during June and we forwarded those dollars down to Belize so the church members could finish the floor before we arrive in October to start working on the roof. I am so glad to be able to say that our teams work hard and do great work. While that’s a blessing, we have the constant challenge of engaging more volunteers to meet a growing list of opportunities.

In this second video Pastor Vicente is ‘narrating’ and offering a word of thanks. It’s hard to hear, but that’s what is happening.
The vantage point of both videos above is looking toward the pupit area. You can see a raised platform on that end of the building. And I am excited to think about the ministry that will be accomplished in this facility for years to come.

Celebrating EquipUs – What’s Next?
We will have a team in Belize in just a matter of days. And it might be helpful for you to know that the church in Dolores measures 30′ x 60′. The church in Bella Vista has the same dimensions. Why share that?
The buildings are larger than you might think. And several factors have combined to put these two projects at the same stage of completion. We are looking at putting a roof on both buildings – at the same time!
One of our birthday celebration posts will cover the church in Bella Vista. Each time we have helped this church expand they have filled their new capacity almost immediately. God is good! That never changes. And we are waiting to see how He provides for these two churches. 
As always, prayer is vital. So I encourage everyone to give thanks for the work that has been entrusted to us. Second, please share the ongoing needs that are coming our way. The more people who are aware the more likely some will donate to help meet the needs!
