Evangelism and missions is a matter of … Several answers are possible. It might be a matter of volunteers. That is certainly high on the list because projects wouldn’t get done if people didn’t volunteer to go.
Some would say it’s a matter of money. It would be difficult to under estimate the importance of funding. Mission projects need funding and mission people need funding. It’s true that ministry costs money whether it’s the local church, the crisis pregnancy center, the homeless shelter, or an international missions ministry. Still, dollars and cents are not at the top of the priority list.
If you’ve seen this site very often, I hope you already know I sincerely believe our work is a matter of prayer. There is no aspect of our ministry that hasn’t been guided by prayer. Mission opportunities have come as answers to prayer. Mission volunteers are also answers to prayer. And yes, funding is most often a matter of answered prayer. (Donate here)
Essential For Missions
That being the case, please pray for every Helping Hands Mission Team that serves throughout the year. And that includes the team that will be in Belize next week! We have the opportunity to teach pastors, teach kids in three schools, and work on two churches!
The team needs your support in prayer for safety in traveling, health and strength while we are away, protection from the enemy, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as we teach and work.
And I’m asking everyone to do THREE things. Here they are:
- Leave a comment (see bottom of the page) to let us know you will be praying
- Check back here and our social media outlets
- Ask others to join with you in praying for the team.
The Keith Burnett Ministries Facebook page is a good spot to get mission updates. If you haven’t followed that page, please do it while it’s on your mind.
Soli Deo Gloria!
PS – Somthing new will be in this newletter next week. Please make sure you see it. Your help is easily defined by 3 words: free, easy, essential!
