Big News! How big is big? And what is the best way to share very important events? Well, the upcoming announcement will be big to those familiar with Keith Burnett Ministries. As for the best method of sharing, I wish there was time to share a cup of coffee with every individual reader, subscriber, volunteer, and helping hand. The willingness is present, but that just can’t happen. So we will do our best to combine posts, email, and maybe even a video or two in order to share some really big news with you!
Big News: Between Coke & Apple
Some of you will recall the New Coke. Yes, it’s true. It was 1985 and Coke tried to change the recipe. I remember the hype and ads meant to generate excitement. Well, the folks at Coke learned the value of old sayings like, Don’t mess with success. There have been many marketing flops and the New Coke campaign was one of them.
There are fans and detractors when it comes to Apple. But whatever one may think of Apple, they are routinely successful in their product launches. They put out product teasers and interest grows. And when Apple’s products finally hit the market they sell by the thousands.
I am aware that Coke and Apple are giants in the marketing world. And changes in a ministry like ours won’t even register on any scale of announcement success. But that’s not important and it isn’t the goal. I’d just like for it to be on the order of Apple’s track record rather than that New Coke thing!
Our announcement will be important to us and many other people in the world. And for our news to have its greatest possible measure of success, you (and other readers, followers and supporters) will have to pause long enough to become informed and engaged.
What To Expect And Why
Our announcement is less than 24 hours away. The purpose of this post is simple. It is to alert you that something important is coming. And in terms of Kingdom impact, it’s vital that you take a couple of minutes to notice. So let me thank you in advance for doing so.
The official announcement will be the first installment in a series. Our second installment will follow very quickly. It will be an FAQ page. If that page fails to answer your specific question, just add your question to the comments section of any post. I will see it and I will answer it. And if you prefer, you can always ask via email or a phone call.
If every reader, subscriber, and supporter will take the time to be informed, then I know you well enough to know you will engage. And when that happens, many people will be blessed. How do I know that? I leave you with one of my favorite passages of Scripture, Ephesians 3:20-21 –
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Soli Deo Gloria!
