Evangelism: By All Means We Win Some

Evangelism Challenge

Think evangelism is hard or intimidating? We teach mission volunteers the why’s and how’s of evangelism. People need to be reminded often that winning a soul is only the beginning of evangelism. Why? Evangelism, in terms set by Jesus in the Great Commission, is making disciples. We no longer understand that. A quick look at our societal decline and decay is all the proof needed to make that statement. But making a disciple still starts with new believers. So, I have a NO BRAINER challenge for you. That’s especially true if you have ever thought:

I wish there was an easy, effective way to present the Gospel?

This should be fun, informative, and it just might be what someone needs to turn their life around. The Apostle Paul said he became all things to all men so that by all means he might win some. That’s what this post is about. You may not care for contemporary music. However, others do. How could you use that interest as an opening for the Gospel?

Take a look at this short video. It may or may not be your style, but let me go ahead and say, That doesn’t matter! What you’ll find is a very clear, creative presentation of the Gospel message. And I’m fairly certain it will hold the attention of anyone under 30 – including your kids or grandkids!

So I challenge you – link to this on your cell phone. Next time you are with them, tell them it’s your turn to show them a cool video on your phone. Play it for them and see what happens. Are they already believers? Give the link to them and let them play it for their friends. That’s how evangelism begins – one sharing the Gospel with another.

Soli Deo Gloria!

  1. Maybe shorter bursts of the GOSPEL with praise and worship in between would be more effective than a looong sermon in some situations! GOD.OUR.SIN.PAYING.EVERYONE.LIFE
