Pressing On. Those two little words say so much. And they should describe every believer. That’s what we have been doing at EquipUs. It also describes our friend Antonio ‘Chaggy’ Feliz. Our video chat is posted below!
Pressing On – Encouraging And Equipping
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippian church:
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Paul was encouraging the Philippian believers to do the same thing. He was setting an example for them to follow. And that underscores the fact that we minister together. We can minister to each other, with each other, or both! All three of those have described my work and friendship with Chaggy.
When we press on we are moving forward with determination and purpose. Those are good things. And right now, there’s a lot of purpose directed toward EquipUs U. But determination and purpose can be tiring. What keeps any of us from growing weary in doing good? It’s the other thing Paul mentioned. He said he was pressing on to a high calling.
Our calling is Equipping For Life. That means building others up in Christ.. God has prompted many helping hands to make this work possible. Chaggy is just one of the blessings experienced by answering God’s high calling to me. It came many years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. And His calling drives everything forward.
Now, what have you been called to do? Remember that calling. Your Father is charge. It takes faith to follow. But the blessings in the journey are awesome! Don’t grow weary in relentllessly moving forward.
Soli Deo Gloria!
